The Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners consists of five members, each elected by the constituents in their district. Commissioners serve four-year terms. Current commissioners are: Term Expires District 1 Jesse Caruthers November 18, 2012 District 2 Douglas M. Udell November 20, 2010 District 3 Ivie F. Fowler November 18, 2012 District 4 Billy C. Maxwell November 20, 2010 District 5 Wesley Wainwright November 18, 2012 Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:00 A. M., and on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 P. M. Meetings are held in Live Oak City Hall at 101 Southeast White Avenue, Live Oak, Florida. The deadline for being placed on an agenda is 5:00 P. M. on Monday of the week prior to the Board meeting week. (Example: The deadline for the Tuesday, March 21, 2006 Board meeting is Monday, March 13, 2006 at 5:00 P. M.)
